DGA Vice President Ryan Hodum co-authored a report for Ceres and its Investor Network on Climate Risk detailing the multi-hundred-billion dollar investment opportunity that energy efficiency provides. The report, Power Factor: Institutional Investors’ Policy Priorities Can Bring Energy Efficiency to Scale, comes after discussions with nearly 30 institutional investors and energy and policy experts. By reforming utility regulations, driving demand for energy efficiency, and implementing innovative financing tools, policymakers can create a secondary market for energy efficiency loans and attract large institutional investors while also mitigating the risks of climate change.
